1. Our promise: local-first by design
Parrot Toolbox is built to run inside your own browser. When you use the call analyzer, upload an audio file, record your bird's sounds, save favorites, or log training progress, that data never leaves your device. We do not operate a central account system and we do not upload your recordings or notes to any server.
2. Information we collect
Because our tools are local-first, we collect almost nothing:
- Local storage (your device only): your language choice, favorite tools and articles, training logs, health checks, speech records. These are saved in your browser's localStorage and can be cleared at any time by you.
- Microphone and audio files: used only inside your browser to draw waveforms and estimate pitch. They are transmitted nowhere.
- Email you send us: if you write to [email protected], we only use that address to reply to you.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use browser localStorage to remember your language and favorites; this is necessary for the site to function and does not identify you personally. When advertising is enabled (see section 4), Google and its partners may place cookies or similar technologies on your device to serve and measure ads. Advertising cookies are only activated after you click "Accept" on the consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site is free because it is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.

6. Logs and statistics
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and troubleshooting. These are not used to build individual profiles.
7. Children and minors
Our tools are general pet-care utilities intended for adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
8. Your rights
Because your data lives in your own browser, you are in control: you can view, export or delete it at any time by clearing your browser storage. For any privacy question, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this page as the site evolves. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version.
